The Forum brings together industry leaders with policy makers and other thought leaders to discuss ways to improve the retirement security of America’s workers. The Forum begins at 8:00am on June 6th and runs the full day, concluding with a cocktail reception in our Networking Center at 5:00 pm and optional group dinners afterwards at local restaurants. Join the National Marine Sanctuary Foundation in DC and virtually for Capitol Hill Ocean Week (CHOW) from June 6 – 8, 2023 to explore the ocean-climate connection and how to make ocean conservation part of climate strategies and nationally determined contributions to address climate change.
The CHOW 2023 program is slightly different from past CHOWs and will host a day on Capitol Hill on June 6 then move to the Ronald Reagan Building for the conference on June 7 and 8. The week will culminate with the Ocean Awards Gala on the evening of June 8, World Oceans Day.

The Ocean Awards Gala will take place on the evening of June 8, 2023 from 6pm to 10pm. Attire is black tie optional. The gala annually recognizes champions of marine and Great Lakes stewardship. Past honorees include Presidents, Members of Congress, and world-renowned scientists and conservationists.
The Leadership Award will celebrate Congressman Raúl Grijalva of Arizona and Congressman Ed Case of Hawai’i. This award honors political leaders who demonstrate a commitment to ocean, coastal and Great Lakes stewardship.
The Sanctuary Wavemaker Award will be given to Solomon Pili Kahoʻohalahala and William J. Ailā Jr. This award celebrates dedicated citizens who conduct critical work that benefits national marine sanctuaries and marine national monuments and are active advocates and ambassadors for national marine sanctuaries.

More than 7,000 students have graduated from the University and its predecessor School and College to help protect the nation and preserve its prosperity. This anniversary commemoration is an opportunity to recognize and celebrate the University’s history, its alumni, its graduating members of the Class of 2023, and the University’s bright future.
The program will include welcoming remarks from the National Intelligence University President, a distinguished keynote address, and the presentation of academic awards earned by the Class of 2023.
