Capital Harvest on the Plaza (CHoP) kicked off its tenth season on Friday, May 11!
Opening day was flooded with delicious food, refreshing beverages, and live music, keeping the crowd festive and in the true spirit of spring. It was the perfect way for DC locals to welcome the season while indulging in some fresh treats, and enjoying their lunch breaks outside.
Chef demos from the Reagan Building’s event catering team returned this year and Executive Chef Deshayes treated the crowd with his interactive demonstration of a colorful and refreshing seasonal melon salad with honey lime dressing. Make sure to stop by each week at 12:15pm for a new recipe demo, you can use to impress your friends and families.
In case you missed it, you can always find our featured recipe and an archive of chef demo recipes on the CHoP website and newsletter!
Our vendor list has grown to a whopping 38 and we're excited to welcome 13 new faces including Spot of Tea (serving fresh boba teas), Cream Cruiser (offering handcrafted ice cream sandwiches), Deception Salsa (bringing the heat with salsas made from fresh peppers), Sugar Plug (featuring a variety of cookies, cake pops and other sweets) and more.
