Bring the whole family to the Children’s Book and Learning Festival on Saturday, September 20 from 10 AM–5 PM at the Woodrow Wilson Plaza outside of Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center!

Meet 14 talented local authors and illustrators from the Children’s Book Guild of Washington, DC, enjoy interactive activities, and discover new stories to take home.

Plus, shop thousands of affordable reads at the Carpe Librum used book sale presented by Turning the Page.

This free outdoor festival is co-hosted with RRBITC, TCMA, and DowntownDC, and proudly sponsored by Block. Don’t miss this fun-filled celebration of books, learning, and creativity for all ages!

The series kicks off on May 7 and continues through October on every first and third Wednesday of the month from 10:00 am – 2:00 pm. Locals and passersby can shop and explore a curated selection of items by the areas most talented creatives, including everything from jewelry, paintings, candles, custom designed items, home goods, and more.

Capital Arts Collective aims to celebrate and support the local art scene. RRBITC is excited to welcome homegrown artisans to Wilson Plaza, with plenty of seating and eateries it’s the perfect place, for art enthusiasts of all ages, to grab lunch, browse and shop from the best creators in the DMV area.

As a nonprofit fundraiser, the event supports the production of the National Veterans Parade, helping to offset the significant costs of this historic tribute. The parade honors America’s veterans and their solemn oath to “preserve and protect the Constitution,” ensuring their service and sacrifice are recognized with the dignity they deserve.

On November 13, 2025, the ICFJ Awards Dinner will bring together journalists, media leaders, and supporters for an inspiring evening that underscores the vital role of journalism—especially in today’s world. The program will honor outstanding colleagues in the United States and abroad whose reporting has made a powerful and lasting impact.

This year’s dinner will also spotlight ICFJ+, a groundbreaking new partnership with civic tech leader Code for Africa and systems builder PROTO of India, both organizations incubated through ICFJ’s Knight Fellowships.
