Every wedding tells a unique story, and for many couples, weaving cultural heritage or long-standing customs into their celebration is a way to honor their identity and love. At the Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center (RRBITC), we provide the perfect venue for couples to embrace and showcase their traditions, making their wedding a truly personal and memorable experience.
Designated as the World Trade Center Washington, DC, RRBITC’s role as a hub for international events complements and makes it an ideal space for cultural celebrations. “Where Nations and Cultures Connect” is central to our values, and our team has extensive experience in executing a wide range of culturally rich events—including weddings, ensuring couples feel at ease while planning for their special day.
The Perfect Venue for Multicultural Celebrations
Our venue accommodates weddings of any size, from an intimate party to a guest list of 300+, our Signature Spaces are equipped to complement ceremonies and receptions of any stature. Each setting is adorned with soaring ceilings, natural light, and striking architecture.
Woodrow Wilson Plaza
Woodrow Wilson Plaza, an urban oasis in the heart of DC, is a picturesque location for outdoor ceremonies. Positioned between Pennsylvania and Constitution Avenue, the Plaza’s 36,000-square-foot cobblestone courtyard provides ample space for guest seating and adaptable setups for wedding altars, such as mandaps for Hindu weddings. Many couples have used the Pennsylvania Avenue entrance for baraat processions, creating a memorable arrival against a classic DC backdrop.
Atrium
The Atrium, our grandest space, offers an elegant, versatile setting perfect for large receptions and ceremonies. Located on the ground floor with a mezzanine overlook and a grand staircase, it creates a dramatic entrance for any event. With towering columns, a terrazzo marble and granite floor, and a soaring skylight, the Atrium is a stunning canvas for both ceremonies and receptions.
Below, we showcase how couples have brought their unique visions to life here—from cascading white drapes to a golden chuppah, the Atrium is a space that transforms with every love story.
Take a look at how this couple opened their reception with a Lion Dance—a meaningful tradition in many Asian cultures, especially among Chinese, Vietnamese, and Southeast Asian communities. This lively performance is believed to attract luck and prosperity, allowing couples to start their marriage surrounded by blessings of happiness, wealth, and good fortune.
Pavilion
The Pavilion room is another popular choice among couples. This exclusive space features a spacious foyer for cocktail hour, a cathedral ceiling with a skylight, and six balconies overlooking Woodrow Wilson Plaza.
Check out how this couple utilized the Pavilion space by placing a chuppah, the altar beneath which the couple exchanges vows, in the front. After the ceremony, they continued the celebration with the joyful hora dance during the reception.
Rotunda
For couples seeking a more intimate setting, the Rotunda is a perfect choice. This elegant space features a 28-foot dome ceiling with color lighting option and a panoramic balcony that overlooks historic Pennsylvania Avenue. The circular layout creates a majestic atmosphere, ideal for sophisticated events.
In this wedding, the couple beautifully incorporated a traditional Chinese Tea Ceremony. This cherished ritual symbolizes respect, gratitude, and unity. During the ceremony, the couple serves tea to their elders—parents, grandparents, and close relatives—as a gesture of appreciation for their guidance and support.
Celebrating Heritage Through Food

For Indian weddings, we offer a special menu that includes a buffet, multi-course options, flavorful side dishes, and delightful desserts. In the image gallery, pictured, are some passed items served for cocktail hour.
