On September 1, RRB/ITC hosted the annual Washington Redskins Welcome Home Luncheon. At the beginning of every season, the organization offers a unique opportunity for fans and corporate partners to have lunch and spend time with the entire organization. At the luncheon, money is raised to support youth programs across the region, and welcome the team back to D.C from training camp.

On August 3, 2016 RB/ITC hosted BizBash Elevate, a top conference for DC event professionals, featuring in-depth workshops, innovative idea sharing panels, and compelling insights from the most influential names in events. Topics included new event technology tools; improving association events and trade shows and creating blockbuster fundraising galas. Speaking to the needs of the Washington event industry it also featured a workshop on protocol for government events and a special luncheon panel looking ahead to what event planners needed to know about the 2017 presidential inauguration. Citi Open Draw Ceremony & Kids Clinic

On July 25, RRB/ITC hosted the Citi Open Tournament Draw Ceremony. The ceremony announces the men’s and women’s qualifying round matches. Following the ceremony, kids from the DC Department of Parks and Recreation and the Washington Tennis & Education Foundation put on a tennis tournament on mini courts alongside Madison Keys and Jérémy Chardy.

6th Annual DC Africa Festival

On September 27, 2015 RB/ITC welcomed the DC Mayor’s Office on African Affairs (MOAA) for their 6th Annual DC Africa Festival on Woodrow Wilson Plaza. The Festival celebrates DC’s diverse communities of African diaspora through art, culture, cuisine, history, and music. Since its inception in 2010, it has become one of the District’s most anticipated cultural events drawing thousands of attendees. The event reflects the goals of MOAA’s Multicultural Awareness and Community Building Program -celebrating the varied identities of African people; promoting the different cultures within the District’s African community, and encouraging all District residents to learn about African heritage, customs, and history.

White House Summit on Global Development

On July 20, 2016 RRB/ITC hosted the White House Summit on Global Development in collaboration with the U.S. Agency for International Development. President Obama gathered entrepreneurs, development leaders, public and private sector partners, civil society member diplomats and more to examine the progress achieved by the Administration’s approach to development. The Summit featured an array of panel discussions focused on six key areas: energy, food security, global health, governance, partnership, and youth.

Laura Bush at the Community Foundation for the National Capital Region’s Gala

On April 24, Laura Bush spoke at the Community Foundation of the National Capital Region Gala in RRB/ITC. The Community Foundation’s mission is to enhance the metropolitan region by encouraging giving and providing direction on critical issues in our community.
